Chinook was founded in the Pacific Northwest by 5th generation Oregonians.
Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s it was boom times for Timber and Sawmills. Hardwork and hard play were the way of life. Nestled between the Cascade Mountain range and the Oregon Coast, hiking, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors was and still is our preferred recreation. It’s one of the many reasons we love living and working in the Northwest.

We build BOOTS THAT WORK… And so that has become our motto. Build boots that work for the guy lacing them on.
Our team is committed to our craft. You’ll find our office attire consists of Jeans, T-Shirts and a sweatshirt; we were doing “grunge” 30 years before it was cool. LOL. But that’s the Northwest, not just us.
We call ourselves the biggest shoe brand that nobody has ever heard of.
In fact, we’ve been around over three decades now and made millions of pairs of shoes and boots. Oddly enough, the Chinook Brand is only really known in the Pacific Northwest, but we have high hopes for expansion across the entire USA in the next three decades.
